Ruggero Deodato's notorious cannibal film, while not the first, certainly set the standard for cannibal-horror as well as the "found footage" trope still used today. The movie found Deodato and his producer arrested for murder, such was the realism of the movie. It was not until they produced the very much alive actors that those charges were dropped, though they were still convicted on obscenity charges.
