In 1965 Forrest Ackerman, horror super-fan and publisher of Famous Monsters of Filmland, commissioned legendary makeup artist Dick Smith to create an illustrated make-up guide that the average reader of his magazine could follow along with using common household supplies.

This illustrated guide is in good condition except where the front cover has separated from the bottom staple (see pictures). Pages are yellowed from age (it is 60 years old, after all!). It is bagged for protection.
